Manage your social network easily and efficiently.
Although for some people, planning their social activities is a pleasure. For most people, like lots of my friends and me, the complex and tight social arrangement creates adverse effects, intentionally or not. Especially after the epidemic, the unprecedented feeling of loneliness has occupied many people's inward, and we have never had such a desire to know new people. However, our brains can't handle so many things at once, so there may be negligence in the front of friendships that we must carefully maintain. An unbreakable friendship takes time and effort. The result is that maybe we get to know more people, but we don't get any close friends.
In a 2016 study, researchers surveyed the number of Facebook friends of 2,000 adults who said they used social media regularly. The researchers then asked how many of their friends could be considered close confidants and how many could be people to seek advice and sympathy. The responses from this study show that people usually have 5 close confidants, 15 supportive friends, and 150 acquaintances.
Although we are constantly trying to meet more people in our lives, the average number of people we can maintain as friends is only around 150. But we hardly realize it. As a result, we neither keep our existing social circles well nor build new friendships on equal terms.
According to a statistic by YouGovAmerica in 2019, the new generation feels more lonely. Although they use social software more often, they don't know how to maintain friendships.
The Internet connects people all over the world, and Millennials can be said that they are the biggest beneficiaries. However, this did not lead them to gain more friends or maintain better relationships. Instead, Millennials are the loneliest generation of the three generations.
This chart comes from an MIT research group's survey of on-campus students. It reflects the accuracy with which students recall the scene details after meeting with their friends in person. These two graphs reflect how often MIT students approached three different types of others during the week on and off campus. And the daily and weekly frequency changes of students showed periodic changes.
The period when people were most accurate in recalling the scene of a meeting with a friend was within seven days. If the time exceeds seven days, the recall accuracy will decrease significantly. Besides the same study, Sunday night is the best time to plan for the next week, and proper morning reminders are also important.
After analyzing data from the Internet and articles, I found that young people need a tool to help them socialize effectively. Regarding the new generation growing up with the Internet, creating an APP will be the best choice as a toolbox that will integrate multiple functions.
The app will contain two main functions. The first is the basic hangout itinerary assistant. All user activities will be carried out on this app, from the beginning schedule planning to the final memory taking. This will not only improves efficiency but also avoids some irreversible omissions.
The second is a complete "friendship health" evaluation system. The state of the relationship is obtained by quantifying the user's social behavior and subjective feedback. And when appropriate, the user will be reminded to take some practical actions.
Besides, I also plan to design a magnetic clasp with a display on it. This magnetic clasp can attach to any ferrous surface, such as refrigerators and whiteboards. Users can upload friends' information to the magnetic buckle according to their needs and observe the changes in their friendships.
The friend center aggregates many functions, such as meeting reminders, new plans, friend retrieval, friend status flow, historical records, and much more. If you're planning an important meeting, there's no need to jump between different apps anymore; The user can do almost everything by following the build-in-app planner.
The App supports connection to multiple magnetic buckles. After pairing, the data will be updated in real time through the internet.
User's private diary. Sorting by different friends helps to collect and recall good memories with a specific person.
Here users can create and browse upcoming schedules and those friends who need to meet up.
Help users monitor the status of their selected friends and the battery level of Magnetic Buckles in real time.
"Friend Status" display module with touch and Qi charging function. Users can complete some quick actions on it.
Users can use this timeline to know whether they have met with friends within the appropriate period. The pink dots represent preset meeting deadlines.
Clean Mode is designed for users who don't want to be bothered by various warning colors. By turning it on, most of the relationship colors are replaced.
In comparison, App will retain the color Rim in "Upcoming Itinerary" to continue to inspire how to show the appropriate attitude in different upcoming hangouts.
Avatar Rim's data comes from feedback after each meeting. Good feedback gradually increases, and the Rim's color changes accordingly, and vice versa. The color of the reminder light is directly related to the time of the last recorded meeting.
In addition to the basic contact methods, users can also add other social media links they prefer.
Users can add activities to the Friend Center's schedule flow or create them on the specific friend's information page.
Real-time statistics of relationships with your friends.
The system draws a line graph based on how often users meet with friends and final subjective feedback. Potential changes in friendships can be well reflected through charts*.
The user needs to "confirm" to see the chart and can no longer modify the previous options.
*Charts are for reference only on the user's basic behavior.
A pocket diary that only belongs to you.
Memories is a place where you can post every good time. Only yourself here, unless you want to share them. Each recall supports up to 9 photos and 200 words, enough to take down a lot.
This is the 1.0 version of the Prototype of this app. The UI, colors, and some details have not yet been optimized, but the main functions are already included. You can still use it to understand how it works.
Well-organized internal structure, with wireless charging and touch control.
The flow chart on the top shows how the charging system uses voltage changes to determine the battery level. When the voltage is below full charge and greater than zero, it means the device is connected to the coil and needs to be charged. The system can also determine the device's power level through the function image of the voltage change.
